Nanna was born and raised in Reykjavík, Iceland , but is now based in Scotland,
where she has a studio.
Initially, she enjoyed much success as a sculptor, in which medium Nanna was
commissioned on numerous occasions to create portrait busts.
However, she grew to realise an equal passion for painting.

In 1991 Nanna gained her degree in Fine Art at City and Guilds of
London Art School, Kennington, where she won the Foundation Prize and
where her work was selected as the best amongst an exhibition
of the graduates.

Since then, Nanna has held exhibitions at Shad Thames, at the Icelandic
Embassy in London, and at Perlan, one of Reykjavík's great landmarks. She has
also co-exhibited on many occasions with other London-based artists.
